The vintage look of the Kala Archtop is embellished by the jazzy F-holes, producing the perfect ukulele for lovers of all things classic! A fan favourite with a smooth, satin finish, the Archtop line offers players a choice between five dazzling colours: Brooklyn Green, Kalamazoo Gold, Lake Shore Blue, Chicago Red, & Tobacco Burst. All in a Tenor model with built-in electronics.

The warm, mellow nature of this instrument is enhanced by an easy-playing mahogany neck and dual f-hole design, which is built on a classic tonal foundation of a spruce top and mahogany sides/back. This is one of the most striking ukes in the Kala company's lineup.

Because it is designed in the style of vintage jazz guitars, the top and back of these great ukes have a pronounced arch and that has an effect on sound projection.

Historically f-hole designs are traditionally not the loudest instruments acoustically, but that is the whole point, rather they excel when you are jacked in through an amp or PA. The Arched Top and f-hole design temper the acoustic volume in favour of feedback resistance. You can crank up the volume, even add overdrive/distortion and other effects and not be met with howls of uncontrollable feedback.

The Top is made of spruce and mahogany for the back and sides, again this is a classic tonewood combination straight from the Gibson Kalamazoo playbook. The Spruce top makes it sing and the mahogany sides and back provide for a solid bass foundation.

Combined with its double bout shape, Pearloid binding and f-holes it really does evoke an old-time Americana look. To the point where it resembles a miniature archtop jazz guitar, yet It retains the sound and playability of a tenor ukulele.
