MAHOGANY SOLID WOOD TOP
The soundboard of your ukulele does the heavy lifting when it comes to the tone and timbre of its sound, approximately 80% of your tone comes from the top or soundboard. The solid mahogany top is a great addition to a ukulele in this price range. The solid top vibrates with a clear and strong sound and being solid the wood will age and sound better and better every year. PLAYING SOLOS OR RHYTHM IS A BREEZE.
The Neck is a nice contour and dimension. Not too thin, not too fat but just the perfect width for comfortable playing.  Some other ukes have necks and fretboards too thin so your fingers are squashed and bunched.  Not with this Ohana, their necks and fretboards are a breeze to play on. Personally, I like Ukes with slightly wider necks, they are just more comfortable with less hand fatigue.

It is nice having the solid Mahogany neck in your hand to support your playing, especially with Barre Chords. That's part of why I like Ohana Ukuleles, their necks are just right, not too thin or too shallow, generous with the shape of the rear of the neck full and round in your left hand. Very comfortable.
