The soundboard of your ukulele does the heavy lifting when it comes to the tone and timbre of its sound. With the BK-20 Baritone ukulele, you get a solid Mahogany soundboard for rich, warm, wonderful tones reminiscent of your favorite beach getaway. Finished in satin to match the warm tones,

Solid mahogany top Baritone Ukulele Tuned DGBE. Mahogany is the cornerstone tonewood of the fretted instrument world. Mahogany, mainly used in the acoustic world, for back and sides. It is the most commonly used hardwood because it's relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant. Mahogany became popular in guitars because it is attractive.

It's not just the reliability that makes it so widely used though; there are also the tonal properties. It's warm and mellow, providing excellent low frequencies, pronounced lower-mids, and unpronounced, yet appealing, high ends. The result is a balanced tone with crisp and strong fundamentals.

Ukuleles come in many different shapes and sizes and the Baritone is the largest of the ukulele family with the longest scale neck and biggest body.

The Baritone scale is about a couple of inches longer, the neck is a bit wider, and overall it’s a little heavier than the Tenor.

The extra length allows for more frets with wider spacing between them. The concert size is great for players of any skill or experience level, but maybe more comfortable for those with a bit larger hands and fingers.

Being a bit larger in size, the Baritone has a Louder Fuller sound and warmer tone with more bottom end than a Tenor. Tuned DGBE it is a "lower' tuned instrument than the Regular Tenor/Concert/Soprano tuned Ukuleles.  The DGBE is effectively the highest 4 strings from a guitar.
