Mahogany is the cornerstone tonewood of the fretted instrument world. Mahogany, mainly used in the acoustic world, for back and sides. It is the most commonly used hardwood because it's relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant. Mahogany became popular in guitars because it is attractive.
It's not just the reliability that makes it so widely used though; there are also the tonal properties. It's warm and mellow, providing excellent low frequencies, pronounced lower-mids, and unpronounced, yet appealing, high ends. The result is a balanced tone with crisp and strong fundamentals
The all-solid build, together with the baritone body allows for the warmth of Mahogany to really project and come through. The baritone is fitted with quality Grover geared tuners to easily tune and help balance the weight of the larger body. Ohana has chosen a classic wood binding as well as the high gloss finish.

BARITONE SIZE TUNED DGBE
Ukuleles come in many different shapes and sizes, this can sometimes be daunting for newcomers trying to pick out the right size for them.
The next step up from the soprano in size. The Baritone size is the largest size of Ukulele, larger than a Tenor, the scale is about a couple of inches longer, the neck is a bit wider, and overall it’s a little heavier than the Tenor.
LARGER HANDS ENJOY THE EXTRA ROOM
The extra length allows for more frets with wider spacing between them. The concert size is great for players of any skill or experience level, but maybe more comfortable for those with a bit larger hands and fingers.
FULLER TONE AND LOUDER
Being a bit larger in size, the Baritone has a fuller sound and warmer tone with more bottom end than a Tenor. Tuned DGBE it is a "lower' tuned instrument than the Regular Tenor/Concert/Soprano tuned Ukuleles. The DGBE is effectively the highest 4 strings from a guitar.
