Private Lessons
Private lessons are perfect if you'd like individual guidance, faster progress, or help with specific techniques and goals.
One recent student, Lesley, visited Adelaide from New South Wales and decided to make the most of her stay by taking private lessons alongside attending my group sessions. Her progress over just one month was remarkable.
Here's what she had to say:
"I recently visited Adelaide from New South Wales and had the privilege of participating in private lessons, group lessons, and ukulele jams led by Christopher Carr, owner of the Ukulele Trading Company.
Chris is an exceptional teacher who helped me revisit the essential foundations of playing, including warm-up exercises, scales, chord changes, and developing a deeper understanding of rhythm and timing. His teaching was clear and engaging.
The group sessions were led with enthusiasm. Chris introduced each song in a structured way, guiding us first through timing, then rhythm, and finally melody.
This approach made learning both enjoyable and educational, allowing everyone to build confidence and improve their playing.
What stood out most was Chris's ability to connect with every member of the group. His warm personality, great sense of humour, and genuine encouragement created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning with Chris and would recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their ukulele playing, whether a beginner or a more experienced player.
Thank you, Chris, for a wonderful learning experience."

Many students tell me they look forward to each session not only because they learn something new, but because of the welcoming and supportive community.
