Previously sets of Baritone strings from other brands have a Wound D and a Wound G string. Inevitably the winding will prematurely wear out over the frets and the inner core and the outer wrap will de-laminate.
Wounds Strings are prone to string failure, first your string will have a terrible oscillation sound as the string is no longer evenly balanced along its length, then they will break or just feel so damn horrible you replace them.

I dont like the flouro strings, they sound dull on my expensive Baritone uke. But they dont break like many others.The wound string variety I think give a richer sound but they break more easily. I'll keep trying . Luke Nevin

Many years ago when I first started playing the ukulele, we had a leader by the name of John porter. I was having trouble maintaining the tuning. E.heb john suggested I try worth brown. 10 years later I would never use any other strings. Only a pity they don't make strings for my acoustic guitar.

Unlike most strings that break or fray, these worth strings just keep on giving, however, sadly it is time (after about 3 years) for me to restring my old faithful Kala with my newly purchased packet of BB63's. I'm almost certain that they would go another 3 years, but sure I'll notice the difference.

I put these strings on my new Kala solid acacia baritone ukulele. I didn't really like the low-D in the worth brown, it was a little muddy for my taste but your mileage may vary. In this scale length and body size I have come to prefer re-entrant tuning. Luckily with worth strings you get double length so I replaced the low D string with the second half of the E string and tuned it re-entrant dGBE which works well and i think it sounds lovely. Other than my personal preference with the sound of the D string these sound great and are very comfortable to play. Excellent service and care as always from CC, everything turned up quickly and in great condition.

Hi Chris, I now regret not to have known your company before I purchased a new uke. You are so customer orientated. I tried those worth strings to improve the tone of my baritone which I found to high pitch. The G-B-E strings were great but I found the D one far too thick and very stiff. Maybe I should invest in a stretching machine!!! Ha ha!. I am trying others till I get the tone and feel right for me. Thank you so much for caring . I just restrung my 1880 Baritone with Worth Brown DGBE. Originally fitted with nylgut DGBE strings I had it restrung with Aquilla Baritone gCEA strings (only using the original 3rd G string as the 4th dropped G) so GCEA. I liked the high tuning and it removed the visual confusion of chord shapes with teaching soprano and tenor players. But back to low tuning. I really like the tone and feel of the Worth Browns but they do take a long time to stretch in. I especially like dropping the 'E' to a high 'd' and playing with open G/D tuning. DGBd

These are my 2 baritone ukuleles. The one on the left tuned DGBE and the other GCEA. The strings WERE a combination of nylon and wire wound steel! Yuk 😭 Now using Worth BB63 for one uke and a Worth C-LG for the other, I now have NO more wire wound strings!! 😃 They are great sounding and the service from Ukulele Trading was excellent.
