    I was given my first ukulele 4 months ago, a budget priced standard gCEA tuned tenor. I was surprised that it was a lot easier to learn than I imagined. So, a few weeks later I bought myself a slightly more expensive low G tenor. The strings on this new uke were a lot easier on my fingers than the cheaper uke, so after a bit of Googling, I decided to try the Worth Browns on my original uke. These new Worth strings don't cut into my fingers and hurt like the original strings. And I love the warmer tone of them. Would recommend the Worth Browns for those wanting a mellow string and buying online from Ukulele Trading Co was easy.

    I went for the brown Worth strings according to reviews and C.C. confirmed it with his recommendation that they suit a laminated top (I have fitted them to a tenor). True they are not as 'bright', but I wanted the mellower sound. It is not my place or intention to bag any other strings ("Horses for courses"), but the experience we had with the Aquila Reds was not a pleasant one, they were never right, they didn't seem to want to settle in and the intonation was out though I improved it a little with setting up. After the work to try and get the 'Reds' right I got worried that it might affect the new strings . . . no cause for worry! Intonation is perfect. For me, the Worth browns are a dream to play; really, they settled in quickly, they are easy to play, easy on the fingers . . . they are sensitive in every aspect and so responsive. What a pleasure! Now I've got to lift my game to make me worthy of the 'Worth'. I like them so much I would seriously consider swapping strings immediately on any new uke I would buy (white for bright). I have read that the browns are great on a banjolele and as I'm considering buying one . . . it'll be getting Worth browns because it is worth it.     I accidentally snipped a string on my Cynthia Lin ukulele (best not to ask how I did that!) I wanted a the original type of strings which came on the ukulele to keep the beautiful sound from when I bought it so I got replacement Worth Strings from Chris. Now my uke sounds like it should! The Worth strings are great value as they are double-length so you actually get two sets of strings. Sound amazing, are easier on your fingers and as you can see, they look great on the uke too.     Extremely happy with the tone after fitting these. Had Aquila before and they were fine so it’s a personal preference for me. Bought a Low G set also for my other uke but not fitted yet. Took a while to settle in and still need to retune each use at present. Worth it though.
